Meet Shauna Bailey (aka Bailey).

Growing up as the eldest daughter in a stubbornly creative family, Shauna always knew she wanted the Bailey name to be part of whatever she built. Bailey Art Studios eventually became just that: a place for her love of painting, storytelling, beautiful places, and a little bit of magic to live together.

Based in Southern California, Shauna is a formally trained artist who spent her high school and college years in advanced drawing and painting programs. Some of her earliest memories of being completely captivated by color come from the changing September landscape of the Sierra Nevada Mountains, and the dramatic landscape scenes from Disney’s Pocahontas. That fascination with light, color, and the natural world still shows up throughout her work today.

Travel has always played a part in her art, and a sketchbook is rarely far away. She’s especially drawn to places with a strong sense of atmosphere, whether that means the California coast, an old garden, a mountain landscape, or an enchanting wedding venue transformed for one night.

Before becoming a full-time painter, Shauna spent years working in events and making magic as a Disney princess. That background left its mark and there’s often something slightly enchanted about her live wedding paintings. She loves creating scenes that feel romantic and transportive without losing the real people and places at the heart of them.

At the center of Shauna’s work is a love of beautiful places and stories with happy endings. She hopes her paintings make people want to look a little longer, remember how a moment felt, and perhaps believe in a little magic themselves.
