How it works:

People gathered at a daytime wedding, with women in white dresses and a woman painting on a canvas.

In the months before your wedding, we’ll spend time together chatting about your priorities for the painting and working to bring your vision to life.
On your wedding day, I’ll arrive early and begin painting your venue before guests arrive. Throughout the celebration, your live wedding painting becomes part of the experience as guests watch it develop, stop by to chat, and come back throughout the night to see what’s changed.
After the wedding, your painting returns to my studio, where I continue working in traditional oils, building layers of color, texture, and detail until your finished painting is ready for its final reveal.

When I started live painting, my main goal was to introduce texture and traditional fine art techniques to the Southern California wedding painting industry. Now, more than ever, I aim to give couples a little piece of magic - a way to always experience the unique feeling that was and forever will be their special day.

I arrive just before your first look, or about 2-3 hours before guest arrival. That allows for time to setup, capture references images, and get the foundational layers of the painting going all before your ceremony.
The vision is ultimately up to you! I may help guide you to ensure you end up with a painting that works well with your venue and has a strong composition, but the goal is to give you a finished piece that feels uniquely yours.
Not at all! Oil paint has the consistency of toothpaste, and all paint stays on my palette and easel. I provide a 5ft circular rug to protect my area just in case, this also serves to help guests avoid getting too close to the wet canvas.
After you’ve had a chance to see where the painting is stopping for the night, it gets packed up and brought back to my studio where it will undergo several more layers over the next few months.
Of course! That’s what I’m there for! I generally recommend that the live painting performance is setup somewhere with a lot of foot traffic so guests can pass buy and check on it repeatedly throughout the night.
